Job History

  • As the Training Manager within the Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) division of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), operating as an A&AS contractor, I oversee a spectrum of crucial training functions. Leading a dedicated team, I orchestrated and executed a comprehensive Training Week, facilitating the development of over 300 students through 31 diverse classes and events, thereby fostering organizational learning and growth. Additionally, I direct our team in delivering specialized courses tailored for DTRA personnel, ensuring the effective dissemination of vital knowledge and skills. Spearheading initiatives to modernize outdated training methods, I have implemented self-paced delivery options, significantly enhancing the accessibility and efficacy of our training programs. My tenure is marked by the attainment of a Secret clearance from the Department of Defense, underscoring my commitment to trustworthiness and adherence to stringent security protocols.

  • At HighRadius, I was the Senior Curriculum Manager in charge of product training for internal and external customers. My main focus was on the development of our intern onboarding program, this included four different learning paths, each covering one of our core products. The trainings lasted approximately 20 days, with a mixture of online instructor led training, self-paced learning and group exercises. Students were presented weekly quizzes, with scores and attendance being compiled into reports sent up to leadership teams to help identify key players who should move on to full time positions. I also spearheaded our training formats initiative, designing the templates and style guide for our asset types, including the creation of examples for the instructional design team to use. Finally, I created a weekly podcast designed to further engage our customer base, focusing on industry and business trends.

  • My final position at Deltek was that of the Principal Curriculum Manager. In this role, I was in charge of all things training for our largest product, Costpoint. I managed a team of two subject matter experts/ instructors and an instructional designer, assigning daily activities and holding weekly review meetings. Through conversations with department leaders, I mapped out training and strategic plans, then presented them at company wide release team meetings. Trainings were planned and created concurrently with product development, including major releases, allowing customers to keep up to date before general availability. The product roadmap was developed from insights into our customer needs identified through user analytics and direct feedback via monthly super user roundtables.

  • As an instructional Designer at Deltek, I was in charge of the creation of our learning video program. Using Adobe Captivate, I designed the templates used to create our self-paced videos, focusing on trainings that would last from 5-15 minutes. I made over 100 videos in this format before transitioning to a position in which I trained and managed a team in the Philippines that took over production. When Deltek developed their first smart phone app, I worked with product development to integrate our training videos directly into the app. This created a seamless experience in which the training directly mirrored the app on the same screen. I was also in charge of managing our training materials across all distribution channels, both internal and external. Finally, I was the voice for all Deltek training, recording the voice over found on all training videos, keeping the process in house and reducing cost.

  • I started off at Deltek as a Documentation Specialist, focusing on the conversion of our 300–500 page training manuals over to the Information Mapping style template. I was in charge of maintaining the various versions of our training manuals on the department wide SharePoint site, reducing clerical errors due to multiple versions of each manual being accessible. Seeing issues in our course development process, I created a document that mapped out how all training needed to be conducted from conception to delivery. Finally, I was in charge of prepping the classrooms for training, including the ordering and maintaining of all training materials and the imaging of computers to ensure a smooth experience for our customers.
